Dear colleagues and friends,
RAD conferences are the right choice for biologists, chemists, physicists, medical doctors, environmental protection specialists, electrical engineers and many others who are in a way connected with radiation.
Symposiums/conferences/congresses are usually organized to gather people with similar scientific profiles and from specific, often very narrow research fields. These events have many advantages since they give their participants the possibility to hear about new knowledge and new results in a particular research field.
However, the other type of events is heterogenic by its nature, and it gathers people from various scientific backgrounds and various research fields around a common topic, radiation in our case, also having great significance.
RAD conferences, as heterogenic conferences, provide exactly that by gathering people of different professions (physicists, chemists, biologists, medical doctors, engineers, etc.) who do research in various areas of natural sciences, medicine, environmental protection, engineering, as well as social sciences and humanities. What is common in their research is that it is somehow related to ionizing or non-ionizing radiation. We also encourage researchers from other related fields to send us their abstracts and take part in the Conference. Having that in mind, we have expanded the list of potential topics (here).
What does such a heterogeneous meeting of researchers offer? It offers a possibility to come to new information on seemingly different but fundamentally similar research, which leads to the emergence of new ideas in future research, as well as to solutions to existing problems in current research. Meetings with people of other profiles bring about the possibility of creating multidisciplinary teams capable to form consortia for potential future projects.
RAD conference is being organized for the third time. Although the first two conferences were biannual and both of them were organized in Niš, Serbia, we have decided to organize the next conference after one year, outside of Niš. Furthermore, we have also slightly changed the name of the conference a little, emphasizing the variety of areas it covers.
The third RAD conference will be held at the Slovenska plaža complex in Budva that is the most famous place at the Adriatic Sea cost in Montenegro. We hope that the proximity of three airports (Tivat, Podgorica and Dubrovnik) and a large number of flights will help you in reaching the decision to participate in RAD 2015.
Basic information on accommodation can be found on the webpage: www.rad-conference.org/accomodation.php whereas the information on the possibilities of transportation to Budva can be found on the webpage: www.rad-conference.org/travel.php
At the end, we would like to thank to all the participants of RAD 2014 Conference, where there were about 500 received abstracts and about 300 participants from almost 50 countries. All this gives us a large motive and an obligation for the organization of the next conference.
All the information about the recently finished RAD 2014 Conference could be found on the website: www.rad2014.elfak.rs. There are many interesting things to be seen, including the Book of Abstract, Conference Proceedings, and some presentations of invited lectures and some oral presentations, as well as the photos and video clips from the sessions, venue and social events, so feel free to visit and explore the website.
We would like to invite you to take participation in RAD 2015 Conference, and to put the conference date into your schedule. If you plan to participate in RAD 2015 Conference, please fill-in the Preregistration form that will help us prepare the conference in the best possible manner (linк).
Finally, you can add us as a friend on our Facebook account: https://www.facebook.com/rad.conference, where we will publish all new information.
Please note that it is NOT necessary to have a contribution to participate in RAD 2015 Conference! If you wish to participate, you will register yourself as a regular participant and take a participation in this event!
Please share the information about RAD 2015 Conference with your colleagues!
Best regards,
Goran Ristic
